So that we can optimize your treatment result we offer these instructions prior to your care and ask that you review them carefully. Please call us if there are any questions concerning your treatment.
We ask that you find a time for your appointment that you can be certain you will be able to commit to. Ample time has been set aside for your care and changes in scheduling deprive other patients of the care that they need.
MEAL AND MEDICATION SCHEDULE PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT: Eat your normal meals the day of surgery and take your normal medications the day of surgery.
BLOOD-THINNING MEDICATIONS: In the event that you are taking blood-thinning medications, INCLUDING ASPIRIN, please advise our office at least seven days prior to your appointment, as we will need to consult with your physician to reduce or stop these medications prior to your appointment.
PRE-TREATMENT SEDATION: Some patients may request an oral medication to relax them prior to the appointment. If you feel you need this, call our office at least seven days prior to your appointment so that it can be called in to your pharmacy. You will need someone to drive you to our office and home IF YOU USED A SEDATIVE.
ANTIBIOTIC PREMEDICATION: If your physician has told you that antibiotic premedication is necessary prior to dental treatment, please make sure that you have the prescription prior to your appointment and take as directed.
DENTAL IMPLANTS: If you are having a dental implant, you may be prescribed an antibiotic to be taken prior to your appointment and for a short time following your treatment. Please follow the instructions on this prescription. So that we most effectively place your implant, your general dentist may ask that you have impressions taken for a surgical guide and or a temporary tooth replacement.
Every effort will be made to make your experience in our office a favorable one. Our dental team is proud to be able to bring you state of the art treatment in a caring environment. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
